Service Design Academy Ltd. is an independent, employee-owned organisation providing high-impact service design education and training.

When you sign up on our landing page, we collect the following personal information:

  • Your email address
  • Your company you work for (if provided)

We collect and use your information for the following purposes:
  • To send you updates: This includes news about our relaunch, upcoming courses, new services, and general communications about Service Design Academy Ltd.
  • To understand interest: To gauge interest in our offerings and inform our future course development.

Our lawful basis for processing this information is Consent. By submitting your details on our landing page, you are giving us clear consent to process your personal data for these specific purposes.

How we store and protect your information

Your personal data is stored securely in the EU using HubSpot, which is committed to GDPR compliance.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

How long we keep your information

We will retain your personal information for as long as you wish to receive updates from us.

You can unsubscribe at any time (see Section 7 below) using the link included at the bottom of every marketing email you receive from us.

We will regularly review our subscriber list and remove individuals who are no longer engaged or whose data is no longer necessary for our purposes.

Who we share your information with

We do not share your personal information with any third parties for their marketing purposes.

We use HubSpot as a data processor to manage our mailing list. Your data is shared with them only for the purpose of sending you our communications. We have a data processing agreement in place with them to ensure your data is handled securely and in compliance with GDPR.

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
  • Your right to access: You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
  • Your right to rectification: You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to restriction of processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to object to processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability: You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
